Boy’s Side OverviewThe Hibernian Boy’s High School Team plays in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union which is the Local Area Union of the Mid-Atlantic Territorial Union of the United States Rugby Union. The Hibernian Boy’s High School Team was established in the spring of 1987 and has played continuously since its inception. When this team was first started there were only a handful of High School teams in the EPRU, for that matter on the entire East Coast. Now the EPRU boasts of more than twenty-five boy’s sides with three divisions. The Hibernian High School Boy’s Side has always played in the first division of the EPRU and has always played a completive brand of rugby.
The original high school side was composed of primarily students from Neshaminy High School and one lone student from Pennsbury High School. Since that first season the High School Side has had students from all the major high schools in Lower Bucks County on the squad: Neshaminy, Pennsbury, Council Rock, Truman, Bensalem and Archbishop Wood.
