John H. "Jack" Jones

John H. "Jack" Jones, age 51, of Exton passed away suddenly on January 9th 2009 at the Chester County Hospital . He was the husband of Barbara Jones with whom he shared 28 years of marriage.

Born in McKeesport , PA , he was the son of the late Paul H. and Esther J. Moore Jones.

Mr. Jones worked for the past 31 years for All-Fill Inc. of Exton, he was Vice President of Sales.

An avid baseball player and fan, Jack was a coach and former Vice President of the Westside Little League for many years and then the Exton Legion Baseball.  He played Rugby for the Hibernians of Bucks County and later helped coach the Henderson Blackhearts Rugby team. He also served as the President of the Henderson Football and Baseball Booster Clubs. Among all his accomplishments, Jack was most proud of his two sons and enjoyed watching them play all their team sports. He rarely missed a game, even Kevin’s VMI rugby games and Nick’s Duquesne baseball games. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, extended family and friends.

In addition to his wife Barbara, Mr. Jones is survived by his two son's Kevin P. and Nicholas M. Jones of West Chester; siblings Dennis and his wife Michele of Langhorne, Jayne Gage of Bristol, Jeff and his wife Diane of Penndel, Lela Mertes and her husband Shane of Bristol, and Brian and his wife Debbie of Brandamore; in-laws, Robert and Betty Bolster of Richmond, VA; sister-in-laws, Karen, Kathleen, and Kim; and many loved cousins, nieces an nephews.

A funeral service will take place at 12 Noon on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave Downingtown, Pa. where family and friends may call from 10 AM until time of services. Interment Private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation to help underprivileged children attend baseball camp. 1427 Clarkview Rd. Suite 100 Baltimore , MD 21209 .
